TAKE “COFFEE NAP” TO INCREASE ALERTNESS
According to a study at Loughborough University, UK, “coffee naps” can maximize the efficacy of both sleep and caffeine. A nap taken immediately after consuming about 200 mg of caffeine makes a person more wakeful because caffeine’s effect kicks in about 15-20 minutes, just as a person ends the nap.

DON’T BRUSH AFTER EATING
Brushing your teeth immediately after meals and drinks, especially if they are acidic, can soften tooth enamel and erode the layer underneath. Wait for at least 30 minutes before brushing.

AVOID ENERGY DRINKS WHEN TIRED
Energy drinks contain up to five times more caffeine than coffee, and often have as much as 13 teaspoons of sugar per can. The boost they provide is fleeting and leave you sluggish and foggy soon after.

EXERCISE WHEN TIRED
According to a study published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise journal, a 30-minute workout session of moderate intensity helps conquer fatigue and depression. Reason: Exercise increases intake of oxygen in blood, helping the body function better mentally.
